The Alliance for Animals has an informational table at the 2008 Farmer’s Market on Capitol Square. We are always looking for AFA volunteers willing to table with us. If you’ve never tabled before, this is a perfect opportunity for you to help advocate for animals and spread the word about AFA.

Our table is on the corner of east Mifflin and north Pinckney Streets. We are but a few steps up from the main Farmer’s Market walkabout. Look for our blue display.

E-mail Volunteer Coordinator Jackie if you are able to help table any Saturday between now and November 8, 2008. We’d love to see you!

Why Vegan Pass out leaflets at colleges, concerts, and festivals - This year we hope to inform young Madisonians about the cruelties of factory farming and the benefits of vegetarianism at a variety of venues including local colleges, concerts, and festivals. AFA can provide you with free leaflets for distribution at any event you plan on attending.

Stock leaflets at restaurants and businesses - Drop off stacks of leaflets at restaurants, cafes, record shops, veterinary clinics, places of worship, and other venues that would attract potentially sympathetic individuals. This can be done by bicycle or car.

Join a committee - Check out one of our committees and make a longer commitment to helping the animals.

Adding entries to VegGuide.Org - No matter where you're you can easily add new, veg-friendly restaurants and grocery stores to a world-wide guide, as well as make reviews.

These are just some of the many ways you can help Alliance for Animals. We are involved in so many exciting things right now, and we would love for you to join us! We even have ways you can help from home if your schedule is busy.

Let us know if y ou would like to help or need more information by e-mailing Volunteer Coordinatory Jackie or by calling her at (630) 386-5259.
