What’s Your Passion?
So many of our campaigns began with one passionate person who contacted us with an idea. Two examples: Mad City Vegan Fest and our Circus campaign. In both situations a volunteer came and visited with us, gave us her ideas, sold us on it, and we provided her with support as much as we could. You have the passion and the willingness to organize, we have the support system and the ability to get your message out across the state and beyond. Don’t be afraid to ask!
Our volunteers help highlight the cruelties of raising animals for food and promote veganism through:
- Giving out vegan food samples
- Pay-per-view video screenings of “Farm to Fridge”
- Tabling at the Dane County Farmers Market (summer months)
- Restaurant outreach (getting restaurants to be more vegan-friendly)
- MadisonVegan.com project
- Vegan bake sales
If you’re interested in helping with any of the above, either on a regular basis or for one-time events, or want to advocate for farmed animals in other ways, contact the Alliance at email@example.com
Wildlife volunteers have posted no hunting signs, opposed trapping, and have spoken out about beaver trapping and goose roundups. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Animals In Research
Those concerned with animal experiments at Covance, UW-Madison, and other Wisconsin institutions have held educational events, protested, and have taken legal action. If you would like to join our efforts contact us at email@example.com for more information.
Animals in Entertainment
Our Animals in Entertainment volunteers plan actions on circuses, pig wresting, and zoo issues. If you would like to help with this effort contact the Alliance (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Our volunteers perform a variety of duties for our main annual events, Mad City Vegan Fest and the Annual Vegan Chili Cook-Off. Volunteers help with setup and take down, sell merchandise and tickets, greet attendees, help with food preparation, and other aspects of the events.
